Ready to schedule a testing appointment in our main campus facility? The steps below will help you get started.
1. View the Exam Guide
Each exam we administer has different requirements for registration and fee payment, and some require specific documentation and credentials. Make sure you've reviewed the exam guide for the test you want to take. You'll find all of our exam guides on the Exams We Offer page.
2. Select Your Proctor
If you are a local FSU online student, you must select the FSU Testing Center as your proctor within the first two weeks of the semester (or first week of summer) using the Proctor Selection System. The Testing Center may not be able to proctor your exam if you do not submit your selection on time. Face-to-face students can skip this step.
3. Review Exam Fees
Exam costs vary depending on the type of exam you are taking and payment method (FSU course exams are offered at no charge). You can find information on exam costs in the exam guides on the Exams We Offer page.
- FSU STUDENTS & STAFF | FSUCard holders can receive a $3.50 discount by paying with FSUCash upon arrival instead of paying online during registration. To receive this discount, be sure to select the "FSU Student Registration" option during exam registration. Download the eAccounts app or visit fsucard.fsu.edu/eaccounts to load FSUCash with a debit or credit card. If you do not have an FSUCard, payment can be made via debit or credit card during exam registration by selecting the “Non-FSU Tester Registration” option.
- NON-FSU TESTERS | Exam fees must be paid in advance (during registration) via debit or credit card using the Exam Registration System.
4. Register for Your Exam
All testers must register for an exam appointment in advance.
STUDENTS TAKING FSU COURSE EXAMS: We'll let you know via email when the registration window opens (2 weeks before your exam’s start date for regular course exams and 4 weeks before for final exams). To secure your seat, make your appointment as early as possible. Students who wait until the week of their exam may be unable to find an open seat when they register.
Click or tap the button below to register. Be sure you have received an email confirming your test registration. Only testers with confirmed appointments will be seated. We do not allow walk-ins.
5. Prepare for Test Day
Our Testing Tips and Policies page details what every test taker needs to know before arriving at our facility, including information about what to bring with you to your appointment, when to arrive, what's allowed and not allowed in our facility, and what to do in the event of an unplanned campus closure (eg, severe weather event).
6. Arrange for Accommodations
We are equipped to provide extra-time accommodations for qualified testers. If you require accommodations other than extra time, you will need to coordinate testing with your instructor or through the OAS Exam Lab. To ensure you receive appropriate, extra-time accommodations, see the Need Accommodations? page.
Can't Find an FSU Course Exam Appointment?
You won't have any trouble finding an appointment as long as you schedule when the registration window opens (see step #4 above for instructions). We are unable to guarantee seating for students who wait until the week of their exam to make an appointment, and we do not offer makeup exams at this time. If you can't find an open appointment, please refer to your course syllabus for your instructor's policy on makeup exams.
Missed Appointments
If you miss your appointment, you can reschedule as long as a slot is still available. Appointments fill quickly. Please note that we are unable to guarantee seating for testers who arrive late to an appointment, miss an appointment, or fail to complete the full registration process. (You’ll know registration was successful if you received an email confirming your appointment.)
